A Letter to Our Community

We started LuckyTrip to help make travelling fun and accessible to everyone. Over the last few weeks we’ve seen the world take a very sad turn… borders closing, airlines being grounded, and many people across the planet suffering the awful effects of Covid-19.

Our first thoughts are for the health and wellbeing of everyone affected, as well as their families and friends who are unable to visit and comfort them.

To all of our travellers

We really take pride in the fact that you’ve chosen to travel with us, and our priority is to give you the best support, even in these uncertain times.

We want to reassure you that the entire team is working hard to do everything we can to help, and find solutions for everyone affected. We’re happy to say that all our travellers that were stranded abroad have now been brought home safely.

If you have an upcoming trip booked with us

If the trip leaves by April 16th (The Foreign Office guideline date), you should have already received an email from us with the next steps. To everyone else, please know that we will be in touch directly as your trip approaches.

Thousands of our travellers have been affected, and we’re now handling hundreds of customer requests every day. We’re prioritising issues by departure date to deal with the most urgent requests first. This means that unfortunately we might not be able to get back to you immediately. We will aim to reply to all messages within 48 hours.

To everyone else working in travel and affected by these uncertain times

The other startups, bed and breakfast owners, airport workers, tour guides, family restaurants - we really hope you all make it through, we’re rooting for you.

For now, use us for some lockdown travel inspiration, and building up your bucket list for the future.

Stay safe, and we look forward to exploring the world with you in happier times.
