The Route

🦀 Your journey begins at London Paddington. Hop on the train to Penzance and whizz past Nat Geo scenery for the next 5 hours.

🦀 Arrive at Penzance where you’ll be staying for the next three nights. Psst! Your accommodation will be handpicked just for you. That means you can choose a town or countryside location.

🦀 This is the gateway to West Cornwall. Day trip your way through St Ives, Land’s End, and St Michael’s Mount.

🦀 After 3 nights you’ll catch a train back to London Paddington. Simples.

What will I do?

Your base is Penzance where seafood restaurants and pirate-themed pubs shack up together 🦜 Start at the seafront where you can take a dip in the seawater pool and then stroll along Chapel Street for mid-century architecture and cosy art shops. Stop into The Turk's Head for a swift half, it’s where smugglers used to hide in secret tunnels.

You’re perfectly placed for a bunch of day trips. Catch the bus to Marazion where you can scramble across the beach to St Michael's Mount. This pocket-sized island has a crumbly medieval castle and dreamy sub-tropical gardens. You’ll want to tick off Land's End too. You can get here on the Atlantic Coastliner Bus. Spend a day spotting dolphins from the South West Coast Path and working on your Oscars acceptance speech at the open-air Minack Theatre.

Finally, head to St Ives for the day. You’ll need to look for the woman in a shell bikini with a fish for a head and a doughnut around her waist... You’ve found Yallah Kiosk, ideal for morning brews overlooking the beach 🏖 We like One Fish Street for evening eats. These guys do pretty small plates with ingredients sourced from artisan growers. Finish your day at The Searoom for gin cocktails by the harbour.
