3 Ways to do Pride

3 Ways to do Pride

These three European Prides are gayer than Cher and Madonna in sequin leotards lezzing off to Sister Sledge.

Here’s where to sink the pink this June…

Tel Aviv Pride

Tel Aviv, Israel

3rd -9th June

“You can’t sit with us”

Said NO ONE in Tel Aviv.

This is one of the most inclusive and multicultural Prides in the world. Rainbows and the Star of David join glittery forces for a massive week of LOVE.
Get a party bracelet for 3 or 5 of the 24hour parties (£150 or £215). The main parade’s free on the Friday and ends with live shows and bar crawls along the beach.

Paris Pride

Paris, France

25th June - 1st July

“The city of love, and oral sex”

Paris shuts down (or opens up) for half a million rainbow-clad paraders to sing and dance, nips out and bare-arsed through the streets.
La Marche des Fiertés started in the 80s (when most of Europe was still homophobic). Today the LGBTQ community still march for their rights in France.

After the parade, head to the gay district of Le Marais for parties in clubs, saunas and public fountains. Course.

Sitges Pride

Sitges, Spain

14th - 18th June

Expect more oiled-up naked bodies than at a Swedish sauna.

Sitges Pride is just half an hour south of Barcelona. It’s 5 days of outrageous beach partying, all under the shimmering rainbow flag.
The main parade takes place on the Sunday (free) and ends in in the ‘Gay Village’ with fashion shows and drag acts.

There’s more pool parties, neon raves and Wham tribute bands than you can shake your anal beads at.
