Floating Tree Sphere
United Kingdom
“It’s not a treehouse. It’s a floating tree sphere...”
Reminds you of when your dad spent three weekends hammering planks of wood to a spindly trunk. Lucky for you this tree (ahem) sphere is not a homemade botched job. It’s a woodsy alien offering plonked amongst the foliage in the beaut Dorset countryside.
Camping-phobe? No stress. This guy’s packing mains power, heating, hot water, and a basic kitchen with bathrooms just outside. You’ve also got a fire-pit, BBQ and sound system. Basically you’ll be living like a boujie Tarzan.
There is no wifi though, so you’ll have to like… talk… and err work on your bird call? Get lost in the nearby woodland and frolic with the deer. You’re a 2 minute drive from shops (yes) and pubs (yassss).

Falmouth, United Kingdom
A cabin in the woods… but more Hansel and Gretel than horror film.
Feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere in this hand-built Hobbit hole but in reality you’re a 15-minute drive from Falmouth. Best bits include the fire pit and stream - which you can paddle in like a regular Robinson Crusoe.
Head through the woods and you’ll come across a country road that leads to secret creeks, jagged cliffs, and private beaches.

United Kingdom
Rockaway Park is a collective of circus performers, creatives, and artists based on a disused quarry. There’s an eco home in the centre with three guest rooms. But you’ll be surrounded by wood workshops, a recording studio, and a vegan cafe.
This place positions itself as an arty retreat for boho types, but all are welcome. Perfectly positioned to get away from it all - hello, woodland walks - or for day trips into the city. It’s 10 miles from Bath and Bristol.
Highlights include the on-site therapy suite which does acupuncture and massages. Also the Sunday roasts at the vegan cafe.

Warning: the guy that runs this place wants you to know this is like real camping - glamping this is not. All constructed from fully recycled materials, you’ll be shacking up in a little guest area and sharing the antique-stuffed communal areas with other landlubbers, 2 dogs and some chickens.
The key selling point? Your roof is a boat. You’re moored in the hills of Dify Valley surrounded by an acre of wild flowers and eye-tinglingly beautiful views of the Cambrian Mountains. Ideal for alfresco bevvies.
