You’re secreted away on the shores of Loch Ness, but just a 40-minute drive from Inverness.

Eco Cottage

Need To Know

There's ample parking and a private garden.

Rockaway Park

Bristol, United Kingdom

Rockaway Park is a collective of circus performers, creatives, and artists based on a disused quarry. There’s an eco home in the centre with three guest rooms. But you’ll be surrounded by wood workshops, a recording studio, and a vegan cafe.

This place positions itself as an arty retreat for boho types, but all are welcome. Perfectly positioned to get away from it all - hello, woodland walks - or for day trips into the city. It’s 10 miles from Bath and Bristol.

Highlights include the on-site therapy suite which does acupuncture and massages. Also the Sunday roasts at the vegan cafe.

Need To Know

Because of COVID-19 the kitchen isn’t open, but rooms all have hot drinks facilities. And the vegan cafe offers weekday lunches and Sunday roasts.

Boatel

United Kingdom

Boatel…. See what they did there?

Warning: the guy that runs this place wants you to know this is like real camping - glamping this is not. All constructed from fully recycled materials, you’ll be shacking up in a little guest area and sharing the antique-stuffed communal areas with other landlubbers, 2 dogs and some chickens.

The key selling point? Your roof is a boat. You’re moored in the hills of Dify Valley surrounded by an acre of wild flowers and eye-tinglingly beautiful views of the Cambrian Mountains. Ideal for alfresco bevvies.

Need To Know

There’s basic cooking facilities, running water, and a compost loo. What more could you want? You’ll need to bring your own towels.
