Negombo, eh?

North of the capital, Colombo, this city is a watery treasure trove. On the lagoon fishermen sit on stilts perched in the water waiting for their catch. After, they’ll take their prizes to Lellama, the country’s second biggest fish market. Get involved in the haggling then explore the city streets, it’s a mix of swanky spa hotels and old-school colonial architecture.

In the seaside restaurants, grilled tuna and chilli crab is served up with spicy coconut sambol and veggie dhal. This trip is an absolute dish... eat it up.

Where will I sleep?
