Forget the mega resorts, this is a traditional Greek village dotted about craggy cliffs that slope off into sea. Dreamy. In the cobbled main square there are chilled out bars and restaurants serving up Med classics - that’s grilled veg and flapping-fresh fish.

Where will I sleep?

Your hotel is a steep cliff top walk up from the beach, sitting pretty above Toronaios Bay with views of Mount Athos.

The rooms here are stylish and zen with billowy linen curtains and white subway tile bathrooms. Outside, there are two pools, one with a whirlpool. Your hotel is on the smaller side which means it’s peaceful and boutique-y.

What will I do?

Usually we wouldn’t go so micro with this… but yes, we are starting with: eat breakfast.

But what a breakfast. It’s included in your stay and is made up of ingredients from Chalkidiki. Think, local honey and olives, a bougatsa (Greek custard pie), cheeses, pies, and cold meats.

The rest of your week here includes lounging about on the beach, eating, drinking. Rinse and repeat. We like Notos for sushi on the terrace, Ginger Bar for cocktails, Exohiko for platters of grilled fish, and Ta Glarakia for sardines with a side of sea.
