North African sunshine and Sicilian eats had a lovechild… and it’s a pocket-sized archipelago in the Med.

Malta’s had its fair share of turf wars over the years which means it’s a rainbow swirl of Roman, Moorish, French, and British bits 🍭 Think, tumble-down fortresses, bejewelled temples and hidden networks of underground burial chambers.

Head to the cosmopolitan capital of Valletta for vibey gin bars spilling out onto the cobbled streets 🍸 Or, make for Gozo’s rural hiking paths and Robinson Crusoe beaches.

Where will I sleep?

Your hotel is a rose between… other roses 🌹

It’s a pebble throw from the beach with Spinola Bay (with its great eats) and Paceville (which is the OG nightlife spot) on either side. BUT it’ll be hard to leave this beaut pad. The George has a high-end boutique feel 💅 You’ll spend your days flopping about the freshwater rooftop pool and propping yourself up at the bar in the Sky Lounge. Ideal.

After you’ll want to head to the Vitality Spa. We’re all about the Ximenia Salt Scrub treatment, it’s inspired by Africal tribal rituals. Or, hot foot it to Hawaii for the Lomi-Lomi massage 🌸 There’s a bunch of great restaurants close by, but your hotel’s collab with ImPasta means you’ve got fresh pasta on tap. Basically.

What will I do?

You’re next door to The Thirsty Barber… which is dangerous because these cocktails look like a garden and taste like sin. Have several.

Walk it off (for 8 mins) on your way to St George's Bay Beach or walk 10 minutes in the other direction to Spinola Bay 🏖 The back streets here are stuffed with cute coffee shops and sun-smashed houses.

You’re just a 20-minute drive (or half an hour bus journey) from the vibey capital, Valletta. Start your day here with a dive down to HMS Maori. It’s a destroyer that was sunk by the Germans in WWII. Now it’s Nemo’s gaff 🐠 Afterward, head to Legligin for a Maltese meze of local goats cheese and sausages in a historic house. Tasty.

Like your fishing villages Skittle-coloured? Yeah, you’ll want to hit up Marsaxlokk for sprawling seaside markets and St Peter's Pool - which is where we’d live if we were a Maltese mermaid 🧜 It’s a half an hour drive.
