Syracuse is an Italian daydream.

Aperitivos are drunk on baroque piazzas, ancient Greek ruins rise up from lickable honey-coloured stones, and there are citrus trees everywhere, perfuming the streets with lemon and orange.

It’s most beautiful bit (it’s all insanely gorgeous) is Ortigia 😻 Turn down tiny winding streets here and you’ll find wine bars, pizza places, or hideaway beaches.

Where will I sleep?

This hotel is the lovechild of Paul Rudd’s charm and Sophia Loren’s good looks.

It’s a 19th-century farmhouse that has been restored and now has timber beams, flagstone floors, large vintage rugs, and spiral columns. The best bit? It’s a biological bae 🌳 Huge gardens are filled with papyruses, palms, almond trees, bonsais, and cypresses. Rooms are spread out so you can zen out ✌ All are furnished with antiques and have big bathrooms.

What will I do?
