Christmas Markets by Train for £295

CHRISTMAS MARKETS BY TRAIN FOR £295

Brussels, Belgium

"I’m dreaming of a GREEN Christmas..." 🎄

We’ve pulled crackers with interrailingpackages.com and instead of a tiny screwdriver we’re bringing you three Belgian cities over three nights for £295 😍 The best bit? You’ll be going by train 🚅 Think of it as a gift for you and planet earth 🌍

Travel between 5th December and 2nd Jan 2020.

Belgium eh?

Belgium is the home of NATO and the EU, but more importantly, Christmas. Let the syrupy smell of waffles lead you to cosy cobblestone squares and cafes selling thick hot chocolate ☕ Snow is dusted on Medieval towns and Renaissance architecture like icing sugar - Belgium is a festive fairytale come to life 🏰

Worried you won’t get to experience the full stuffed turkey? Train journeys between Brussels, Ghent, and Bruges take under an hour ⏰

Where will I sleep?

Brandy cream or brandy butter? It’s a pick your own Christmas adventure.

There are two ways to stay, hotel (£350 total) or hostel (£295 total). Lay down your fuzzy mulled wine head in a swanky room with crisp bed sheets and a modern bathroom. Or embrace vibey hostel life, hello exposed brickwork and creeping foliage 🌵

All the options are close to the city centre (ideal bag-dropping-off distance) and if you choose hostel you have the option of shared or private.

What will I do?

You’re on a winter wonderland tour, hopping from one grotto to the next like an over-caffeinated elf. First stop, Brussels. The Grand Place is straight-up Disney, with turret-y gold spires and horse-drawn carriages. Get your pingu on at the ice rink then hit up the Christmas light show 🐧 Hot chocolate is obligatory.

It takes under an hour to get to Ghent. You’re here to wander off the waffle hangover in the charming old city centre. Dip in and out of the 150 woden chalet huts and take a ride on the Christmas tree merry-go-round (pre mulled wine sesh) 🎠

“It’s a fairytale town, isn’t it?” Last stop - Bruges. Dodge Colin Farrell and head for the rainbow-brick houses with pointed roofs and narrow canals. This medieval city does Christmas in a big way, its market is one of Europe’s best 🎅
