HI I'M... SITGES
Sitges, Spain
Sitges is the San Tropez of Spain - if San Tropez was cheaper and dipped in a glittery rainbow.
It’s got a wild nightlife, freshly caught seafood and beaches for daaayyyyyys. And to cap it off? Sitges is the gay capital of Europe 🌈 🍒
Only 30 minutes from Barcelona (which it beats in an arm wrestle any day), visit anytime of year to join the party. Say Buenos Dias to Sitges…

Beach Bum
There’s 17 glorious stretches of sand to choose from. Platja de la Ribera is the biggest one and very close to the town and Platja la Bassa Rodona is the main gay beach* which is usually pretty busy.If you’re looking for an arse tan, head to one of the nudist beaches - Platja d'Aiguadolç or Platja dels Balmains. They’re a little further out (like 15/20min walk) but totally worth it for the mountain backdrop. You don’t have to take your clothes off but it’s encouraged 🍆 🍑
*(all the beaches are gay friendly).
LGBTQI Tings
It doesn’t matter if you swing left, right, up, down, or don’t get on the swing at all - Sitges welcomes you. It’s got an anti-homophobic sculpture and bars, events and festivals that scream pride. Check out the event guide here.
Whatever you do go to Queenz - the Moulin Rouge of drag cabaret clubs. Try not to choke on your sea bream when you get a wet-willy from Marilyn Monroe. Parrots Pub, Bears Bar and Mojito & Co. are all good options too.
Culture Shiz
If all that beaching is making your brain shrink, head to the Stampfli Foundation for some pop art. There’s a giant red lips sculpture and photo collages of a neon rubbish tip. Shoutout to the artists who take their morning cuppa with a spoonful of LSD.Even the monks around here know how to party. Head to the Montserrat Monastery to try their homemade Aromes de Montserrat (strong liquor made from herbs). The views from the cable car up are 👌
Eat me
This place is bursting out of its speedos with good grub, it’s actually hard to get a bad meal here.Fragata is the glitziest - this is where the film stars & footballers go. It’s got a mean menu of fresh fish with a fine dining finish. Book ahead any time of year, it’s always buzzy (set menu from €50).
For great value + mouth-watering seafood head to La Nansa - their set menu is €20 including dessert & wine 😱
Barcelona’s baby bro is having a moment - get involved.
