What's the show about?
It’s an origins story, people.
Like Peter Parker getting bit by a spider 🕷 Or Mamma Mia’s Donna ending up with three potential baby daddies 🍼
The show tells the prequel story to L. Frank Baum’s, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It’s based on Gregory Maquire’s novel which is set in a parallel universe to the classic book/film.

You may have wandered down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, spied the Emerald City, and met a Tin Man minus a heart - BUT you ain’t heard this story 📚
Wicked follows the lives of Glinda (blonde, popular, vain - you know the type) and Elphaba (green, misunderstood). The pair meet at Shiz University and become friends. Through the course of the musical we find out how they become Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

What will I do before & after the show?
If you’re nipping for a pre-show Nandos and heading to Spoons for a post-show Purple Rain - we’re here to pimp your plan.
Actual magic.
Food
We like The Palomar for an early dinner. It serves up modern eats from Jerusalem with international influences sprinkled in. Get the Baharat farmhouse bread with cumin and follow up with Metugan bream with Israeli kimchi. Finish with a sumac tart with orange blossom.Actual magic.
If you’re heading to a 2:30 pm matinee performance go classy with a pre-show afternoon tea. These aren’t your average soggy sarnies.
The Rubens at The Palace overlooks Buckingham Palace and serves up coronation chicken and toasted almond finger sandwiches and cinnamon chocolate mousse.

Drinks
You show us an Irish bar at 10pm and we’ll show you a good time. Waxy O’Connor’s is a safe bet for post-show drinks.Feeling your oats? Keep the high-end vibes going and head to The Mulwray. It’s the wine bar for the fancy shmancy Evelyn’s Table restaurant.
