What happens if the lad at the bottom needs to sneeze?

Every year in Tarragona, teams compete for the honour of creating the tallest human pyramid.

We ain’t talking your standard doss-about-in-the-park human pyramid. These athletes make their human towers ten levels high, with prizes for those (few) that can build and demolish their towers without a fall.

Children as young as 5 are sent to the top, cos they’re the lightest (there’s no room for worrying about broken child bones here).

At the Concurs de Castells, 6,000 people watch as pyramids rise and fall… Obviously, the fall part is what people are really there for.

The Concurs de Castells takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2017 in the Tarraco Arena Plaça of Tarragona.
