Brittany’s capital is crammed with some of Europe’s most daring graffiti and street art. Whodathunkit?

Political and playful, the recent construction boom has turned the city into a creative jungle gym.

Famous urban artists like DaCruz and Aryz have tagged the city with robots, ostriches, political messages, you name it.

WAR is Rennes’ golden boy. He paints massive murals of animals in warehouses and turns grey buildings into colourful safari parks.

But these lads don’t have all the fun, anyone can paint on the 30 walls designated by the Urban Expression Network.

Yeah it’s not as good when you don’t have the risk of a criminal record - you absolute rebel.
