Set up by dream couple Charles W. Leslie and J. Frederic “Fritz” Lohman, the pair had a passion for homoerotic art and wanted to preserve LGBTQ cultural heritage after the AIDS crisis.
It’s now home to over 30, 000 pieces of art from a queer perspective 🍆🍑🍒
Journey through 3 centuries of influential art, including works from famous gay artists Del LaGrace Volcano and Barbara Hammer.
The museum hosts events, lectures and exhibitions throughout the year all exploring and celebrating the LGBTQ experience.
Catch Fierce Pussy's ‘And So Are You’ exhibition running til May 2019 which looks at the collectives work from 1991 to modern day, questioning society’s assumptions of gender, race and sexuality.
