Voutoumi Secret Beach

Voutoumi Secret Beach

Greece

If you like secrets, beaches or secret beaches, then Voutoumi’s the guy for you.
This nugget of shoreline is one of Antipaxos’s two scorching-hot beaches.

The tiniest of the Ionian islands (only 30 people live there year round) means there’s about 6 cars, a handful of vineyards and no shops. The dream.
Voutoumi is its poster child.

A stretch of white sand, tucked away on the far side of the island, most people stop on the busier Vrika beach which is closer and has a choice of lunch options. Lazy fatties.

Hold tight in the water taxi and you’ll be whisked around the bend to this beaut.
The beaches are also connected by a clifftop path, it’s a bit of a trek but you’ll find a stone windmill and a taverna for your troubles… “BEER PLEASE”.
The last water taxi (to Paxos) and hydrofoil (to Corfu) leave between 5 and 6pm. If you miss them you’re fooked. There’s very little accommodation and nowhere to buy a bottle of water after the boats leave.
Boats leave from Paxos and Corfu every day throughout the summer.
