It’s an origins story, people.

Like Peter Parker getting bit by a spider 🕷 Or Mamma Mia’s Donna ending up with three potential baby daddies 🍼

The show tells the prequel story to L. Frank Baum’s, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It’s based on Gregory Maquire’s novel which is set in a parallel universe to the classic book/film.

You may have wandered down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, spied the Emerald City, and met a Tin Man minus a heart - BUT you ain’t heard this story 📚

Wicked follows the lives of Glinda (blonde, popular, vain - you know the type) and Elphaba (green, misunderstood). The pair meet at Shiz University and become friends. Through the course of the musical we find out how they become Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked has already won over 100 awards globally, can it get any better?

Yes, it can... they’re shaking things right up for the 20th anniversary. So, whether you’re seeing the show for the first time or having another dip in the world of Wicked, you’re in for a treat.

They've flown Broadway star Jordan Litz across the pond to play Fiyero, while Olivier Award nominee Claire Machin joins the cast as Madame Morrible. You're in very good hands 😌

The celebrations don't stop off stage either. Expect whimsical Wicked cocktails, green seats, and special costume displays bigging up some of the show's most iconic characters.

If you're heading to Oz, make it the birthday weekend. Free goodie bags, anniversary treats, and a few extra surprises are all part of the celebration.
