3 Scary Castles

3 SCARY CASTLES

Think you’ve been desensitized by child-snatching clowns and sadistic puppets?

Then spend a night (or an hour) in one of these bowel-loosening castles 💩

Filled with witches, winged-demons and Nazis - these are Europe’s top 3 scariest castles…

Predjama Castle

Ljubljana, Slovenia

Predjama castle looks like Batman’s secret lair.

Built into a cave and surrounded by jagged cliff face, it comes complete with secret passageways and an underground torture chamber.

It was owned by Erasmus the Knight back in the 15th century - a very shady character altogether. He tortured and murdered hundreds of people just for the sheer hell of it.
Victims were thrown into deep caves and bricked up behind the stone walls.

It’s said that many bodies are still trapped under the castle, their ghosts wandering about waiting for revenge 👻

Predjama Castle is about an hour from Ljubljana.

Houska Castle

Prague, Czech Republic

Nobody knows why this castle was built…

Plonked in the middle of nowhere (far away from a water source or any historical trade route) the walls surround a deep black pit. Everything suggests that it was built to keep something inside instead of out.

Locals believe this is the gateway to hell itself.

Legend says that half-animal-half demon creatures climbed out of the pit and even today there are sightings of black winged creatures circling the castle.
If that wasn’t scary enough then throw in some Nazis. They conducted grotesque human experiments here during WWII.

Nobody leaves here with clean pants – even wild animals stay clear of this place.

It's about a 1.5 hour drive from Prague.

Moosham Castle

Salzburg, Austria

Better known as Witches Castle, this is where Europe’s most gruesome witch trials took place… Sabrina would’ve been foooked.

Thousands of young girls were tortured, hanged and ripped in two by horses… Jesus.

Today the castle is a museum, restored to its 17th century glory. But most people find it difficult to visit for more than an hour.
Visitors report feeling someone watching them, being touched, seeing lights turn on and off… classic paranormal shiz.

In fairness if anyone has the right to spook around it’s these poor souls - doesn't make them less scary though...

Moosham Castle is about a 1.5 hour drive from Salzburg.
