Menorca, eh?

So different from its sisters Ibiza and Mallorca, Menorca is unspoilt to the point of old-fashioned. Just look at the local abarcas sandals…

She’s the chill cousin of the Balearic Islands - quieter, greener, and more gorgeous. Famous for its jaw-dropping beaches that are perfect for lazy strolls to tiny hidden coves (called calas) with turquoise water. The coastline is hugged by pine trees and the inland is all rolling countryside and charming villages.

Where will I sleep?

You’re checking into a balcony room at the 4-star Aluasoul Menorca, with the sea just out front. When you’re ready to hit the sand, there’s a free hotel shuttle that’ll whisk you to the beach in just five minutes.

Just across the road you’ll find Purobeach Menorca beach club. You’ve got full access to their adults-only pool, exclusive to Aluasoul hotel guests. They also have a heated indoor pool and full spa.

Food-wise, it’s a toss-up between fish tacos or shrimp paella negra at the beach club, or loading up on that free buffet breakfast back at the hotel (zero judgment if it’s both).

Between bike rides, hotel yoga classes, and sauna sessions, you’ll be feeling nice and relaxed before you even start exploring the island.

What will I do?

From your hotel in S’Algar, there’s sparkly bays in all directions. Walk 20 minutes one way and you’ll hit Cala Rafalet – seriously clear water and perfect for snorkelling (wild turtle sightings possible!).

Head the other way to Cala Alcaufar, a cute fishing village with a beach and fresh fish lunch spot.

Back in S’Algar, Reina Isabel can sort you out with your seafood dinner and sangria while you watch the sun dip into the ocean.
