Where will I sleep?

Viva Eden Lago has mastered the art of looking chill while quietly bursting at the seams with loads to do. Snuggled between Lake Esperanza and the Mediterranean Sea, you’ve got water views pretty much everywhere you turn, from the pool to the tennis court to your evening drink at the bar.

The hotel had a bit of a facelift this year too, with new outdoor pools, a smart solarium with a heated pool, a new gym, and a sports bar added to the mix. Breakfast’s included and comes with a giant buffet spread.

You can keep things active with tennis and hop on one of the hotel bikes and explore on two wheels, or just stay horizontal by the pool and call it balance.

What will I do?

Medieval walls protect this old Roman town and the waft of bunyols (Mallorcan donuts) follows you round the ramparts. Rummage with the locals at the Sunday market. Spanish leather sandals? Yeah, you need them.

Hike past pine forests, follow the lighthouse, and scramble down cliffs to a pristine and secluded beach of Playa Coll Baix.

‘The Challenge’ is pretty invigorating - imagine kayaking, caving, cliff diving and snorkelling all in on day. Local guides show you the ropes then set you free on kayaks round the bay. Then a coastal trek to the marine caves before throwing yourself off a cliff.

Dolphin spotting at sunrise is a great reason to get out of bed early. Fresh jamon and golden skies. If you don’t spot one, you get another free trip - so, win-win.
