Sitting pretty on powdery sand is thirsty work. Take a 15-minute stroll along the beach to one of the bars, we like Viking Beach Bar and Hidden Beach Bar.

Then stop by the UNESCO town of Nesebar. It’s just a quick 10-minute taxi ride away and is home to a 500-year-old antique Orthodox church called the Holy Mother Eleusa Church. Fun fact: the church was once buried under the sea!

In the evening head inland for Restaurant Djanny. Ask for a seat on the leafy terrace, it’s got hanging baskets and an actual water feature. Baller moves. Inside are mirrored marble columns and white leather seats. She fancy. Order the risotto with a tumble of seafood on top, of the aggressively herby prawns, or the grilled meat which is charred and falling apart. Drool.
