SALT - The Festival in a Sauna

SALT FESTIVAL

Norway

“It’s about to get HOT AND SWEATY in this tent.”

Yep, it really is.
SALT Festival is built around the world’s biggest sauna (it holds 120 people). It’s being wheeled around the Arctic Circle for the next 7 years, along with The Fiskehjelle (a giant space inspired by Nordic fish-racks) and the Gildehallen (Arctic Cathedral).
Together, 12 saunas and six stages make up SALT, a festival of nightlife, spoken word, theatre, dance and sauna talks. It’s inspired by the movement of animals and the seasonal rhythms of the Arctic landscape, and it tries not to leave any trace behind on the environment. Sooo Scandi.

SALT Festival is currently shored up a 5 min walk from Oslo’s central station. Check their website for the full programme.
