Selfies with Landmarks
You see them at all the big ones. The Eiffel Tower, The Taj Mahal, The Oh-Fuck-It’s-Leaning-On-Me Tower of Pisa.
At first, they annoy you. All stood the same way moving a little to the left, a little to the right, to get the perfect unique shot, along with everyone else in sight.
At first, they annoy you. All stood the same way moving a little to the left, a little to the right, to get the perfect unique shot, along with everyone else in sight.
But then they kinda grow on you. Cos it’s a whole lot more fun watching people fart about for 45 mins than it is staring at an old tower. So here’s to the committed ones, the ones brave enough to look like twats to achieve the perfect shot.
Here’s to the ones taking selfies with landmarks.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Pisa, Italy
The Pisa Bell Tower is, appropriately, a magnet for bellends.
Most of them try to straighten her up, some pinch the top, others swallow it down in one. As long as you’re having fun, kids.

The Eiffel Tower
Paris, France
Poor Parisians. France’s capital is home to more than one giant selfie prop. The Eiffel Tower is fair game for people wanting to point their finger on its top (whyyy?), pinch it between their fingers, or pretend to get impaled on it. Actually, that last one’s pretty good.
The Louvre
Instead of going into The Louvre, many make their own art outside it. This includes pointing (classic), giving it a cuddle and pretending to slide down it. All are equally hilarious.
The Pyramids
Cairo, Egypt
Speaking of pyramids, don’t think Egypt gets spared this nonsense just cos it’s one of the seven wonders of the world. You get the idea, just point to the top and you’re done.
The Statue of Liberty
New York, United States
The Statue of Liberty means different things to different people. The liberty to emigrate to pastures new, the liberty to build walls between countries, the liberty to look at stoopid as possible in photos. God bless America.
Chinning
Boston, United States
Finally a selfie trend we can get behind. Michelle Liu from Boston, USA pokes fun at people taking themselves too seriously in selfies by making herself look as silly as humanly possible. ‘Chinning’ is considered by many to be the new duck face, but with more fun and more chins. Get involved in her hometown.
